Always in sync
What you change in Rhino or Grasshopper shows up in the headset in real time. What you move in the headset goes back to Rhino. No exporting files, nothing uploaded to the cloud.
E-SPACE brings your Rhino and Grasshopper models into the real space, at 1:1 scale, and keeps them in sync while you work. Look at a QR code, place the model, then move it, rotate it, change its parameters and see the result instantly.
Made for people who design with Rhino and Grasshopper and need to see, check and set out what they designed on the real site before building.

The model is anchored in space with printed QR markers, with points you tap by hand, or resting on the floor or a table. On site, 1:1; for scale models, down to 1:100.
On the Meta Quest 3 you grab, move, rotate and scale each piece with your hands or the controllers. On the phone, with your fingers.
The sliders, toggles and lists of your definition show up in the headset. You move them there and Grasshopper recalculates: you see the change on the real site.
Each step is explained in detail in the user guide.
EsSync command. Rhino opens a session and shows a QR code. The server starts by itself. With QR (the most accurate), by hand on the same Rhino markers, or on the floor or a table. See how.
Every Grasshopper piece that allows it can be grabbed with your hands. With one hand you pull it closer or push it away like a lever; with two, you scale or rotate. See the gestures.
Switch Rhino layers on and off and choose between realistic, shaded, wireframe or edges view, to see the outline and let the real thing show through.
Sliders with ‹ › arrows, tappable numbers with a keypad, toggles, lists and buttons from your Grasshopper definition.
In Rhino, a color map (blue, green, red) tells you which parts of the model will be accurate depending on where you stick the QR codes, before going on site.
Every connected headset appears in Rhino with its silhouette, field of view and where it is looking. See the commands.
Components that read the headset position, gaze, hands, pointers and QR codes, plus touch and hover events.
The Quest and one or more phones can share the same session: one builds and another supervises.
Three viewers, the same system.
Mixed reality using the headset cameras, hands free and controllers. This is the version made for building on site. See the app.
Augmented reality with ARCore to check and supervise in parallel. See the phone app.
A preview in the browser, without mixed reality, to test and show the model from the same computer.
On the computer side you need Rhino 8 for Windows with the EsSync plug-in.
E-SPACE is being tested with people who design and build with Rhino and Grasshopper.
Check and set out on site, with your office team and whoever builds looking at the same model. Request the beta.
One license for the classroom and the studio: many students, each with their own computer. See education.
